The Sam Lua C2 cello is made and carved by Luthiersviolin's chief luthier, and it offers beautiful tonal colors and a comfortable playing experience. It's hard to find a better cello for under $5000.
We have spent a great deal of time researching how to make better cellos, and we are constantly taking input from players and instrumentalists to improve our techniques to make cellos more resonant, cleaner, and warmer, according to their preferences and playing needs. All strings are specially tuned and the sound is unique.
The Sam Lua C2 cello is made from high quality European wood, naturally dried for over 10 years. Only wood with a very low moisture content allows us to make a cello with a richer sound. The dark brown varnish antique style gives the cello a more open sound, and we are completely handcrafted to make the cello every bit as proud as it is.
We fully fit and set up each cello. Whether it's the strings, nut, nut, finish, playing, sound post, we set them up exquisitely. All cellos are made and fitted in our workshop. We are a professional and convincing workshop.
